Pay your respects to prime ministers, presidents, and other notable Jews buried at Mount Herzl National Cemetery, a resting place of many leaders of Zionism and the state of Israel. At 834 m (2,736 ft) above sea level, the mount has served as Israel's national cemetery since 1951. It houses the remains of one of the fathers of modern political Zionism, Theodor Herzl, transferred here from Austria in 1949. • The visit pays homage to the great leaders of Israel and the brave soldiers of Israel who gave their lives for Israel and has an excellent museum on Theodor Herzel
  • Felt like an important site to see to honor Israel's founders and leaders. Not an easy site for children - they get bored by the history lesson, but for me, history lover, it was a good stop.
  • What better place to visit than to honor all those that gave of their lives for the Jewish Nation. Without their Holy Service to their Nation there would not be a place for the Jewish Nation to return...  more »

  • Interesting, the small museum at the entrance is really nice, don't miss it
  • A morbid but interesting experience of visiting the tombs of many of the leaders of the Zionist movement and of the state of Israel, including the tombs of Theodore Herzl, Golda Meir, Yizhak Rabin, and more.
  • Nice serene cemetery, museums nearby.
  • history of the state of israel through the people who died for it
  • יפה אבל לא מתוחזק מספיק
