Where to stay in Jerusalem

Although it lacks a big selection of mid-range options, Jerusalem provides plenty of choices in the top-end hotel category. The Old City contains the bulk of Jerusalem's small hotels, inexpensive hostels, and religious hospices, all of which appeal to budget-conscious travelers. West Jerusalem offers additional options in the form of guesthouses and bigger hotels, some of which boast five-star ratings. If you just need a bed, consider a youth hostel, where you can choose between private and common rooms with Wi-Fi included.

  • first settlement out of the old city walls. till than Jerusalem (E/W) was only inside the walls. the Jews developed the city. all you can see today was created AFTER the Jews returned to their homeland.
  • Incredible history of Jerusalem. You have to go down and look at the windmill. Also you will enjoy a fantastic view of jerusalem and the Mount Zion.
