  • The Knesset, the essence of the history of Israel, visit is required to trace all the stages of the parable of the country. Obvious that if you look at the structure from the outside does not captures the essence. Must see inside with a guided tour. I was in a group and I had a wonderful guide how the young student Hadassah, who explained and described the three beautiful Chagall tapestries illustrating the history of the Jewish people: the past, present and future. In addition there has told the whole story of the Knesset, parallel and related of course to that of Israel. An indescribable feeling enter the Hall of the Parliament. Charming little room, a closet, where the Ministers met at the outbreak of the six day war.

  • Free guided tours are offered every Thursday and Sunday. Guided tours in German start at 8:30, tours in English in addition to 12:00 and 14:00. Registration is not required, only the pass must be presented. My Guide took about 1 hour and was led by a young lady perfect speaking German. We received a lot of information about the building, the political system of Israel, and the work of the Parliament. The plenary Hall, the foyer with the tapestry of Chagall and a meeting room for the committees have been visited. All in all an entertaining and worthwhile guided tour through the Knesset.

  • Israel's parliament, the only democratic state institution in the Middle East, the most environmentally friendly Capitol building and its surroundings. The periphery is a lush rose garden, the main roof of the Capitol installed solar panels, saving 1-degrees of electricity per minute for the country. A small country of around 8 million people, with 120 seats in parliament, 34 political parties, and 10 parties in Congress. Each resolution is determined by a fierce and long quarrel, but it is the way to help the country reduce its resolution. Every Sunday and Thursday 8:30 A.M., it is an hour's time to participate in an English tour with valid ID certificates. In addition to politics, there is history and art Oh!

  • Free informative tour. I have not yet managed to find time to go during a session of Knesset. Got to see the plenum and Ulam Yerushalayim (Lit. 'Hall of Jerusalem,' one of the cabinet meeting rooms). Make sure to bring a passport if you aren't a citizen otherwise they won't let you in.
  • It's bigger on the inside. I kid you not.
  • Corrupted place with politicians that only think about themselves(like all politicians). Root of inequality and racism in Israel Palestine. Nevertheless nice building.
  • Every Indian dream to come to this place
  • Very cool building. I was fortunate enough to get a tour and sit in on some meetings.

Where to stay in Jerusalem

Although it lacks a big selection of mid-range options, Jerusalem provides plenty of choices in the top-end hotel category. The Old City contains the bulk of Jerusalem's small hotels, inexpensive hostels, and religious hospices, all of which appeal to budget-conscious travelers. West Jerusalem offers additional options in the form of guesthouses and bigger hotels, some of which boast five-star ratings. If you just need a bed, consider a youth hostel, where you can choose between private and common rooms with Wi-Fi included.
