Believed by many Christians to be the tomb of Jesus Christ, Garden Tomb sits at the edge of a hill that many consider Golgotha, the site mentioned in the Gospels as the location of Jesus' crucifixion. Unearthed in 1864, the site acts as an alternative potential burial and resurrection site to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Group guided tours are available every 30 minutes, or individuals may walk the garden alone. Look for self-guiding leaflets at the information counter.
