Jaffa Port, Jaffa

(4.3/5 based on 110+ reviews on the web)
Look out across Jaffa Port, once a bustling center of trade. Considered by many to be one of the oldest in the world, the port draws visitors looking for a scenic place for walking and enjoying the sight and sounds of colorful fishing boats, overlooked by the iconic lighthouse on the cliffs above the water. Several of the old shipping hangars now house galleries and cultural spaces, with numerous quaint cafes dotted along the cobbled lanes. Make Jaffa Port a part of your Tel Aviv vacation plans using our Tel Aviv family vacation planner.

  • In the port there is a small market where they sell paintings by local artists and a street with a crafts fair. There are restaurants and bars where you can have coffee or lunch. A good ride of an hour or two.

  • Old port with much charm. Very alive on Saturday when it seemed like everyone in Tel Aviv was there:) Warmly recommended.

  • Nothing like walking through the port at lunchtime or evening. The port has a viewpoint and bicycles that are leased by the day and with them you can walk the coast of Tel Aviv-Yafo.
