Considered by many to be one of the oldest in the world, the port draws visitors looking for a scenic place for walking and enjoying the sight and sounds of colorful fishing boats, overlooked by the iconic lighthouse on the cliffs above the water. Several of the old shipping hangars now house galleries and cultural spaces, with numerous quaint cafes dotted along the cobbled lanes. • It is a great walk along the beach from Tel Aviv to Jaffa and visiting all the stores at the Port. The kids particularly loved the Virtual Reality activity - it was one of the highlights of our trip. ...  more »
  • Same port (actually porcik) and around it looks like every quaint small town on the Mediterranean Sea. However, when you take into account that for several hundred years it was the only port of the Kingdom of Jerusalem (except Cyprus) and becomes aware of his past-doing a great impression. Will stimulate the imagination of any adventurer.

  • The old port is being reinvented with warehouses being converted into restaurants and tourist attractions. There are private boats and a small commercial fishing fleet. Hope this helps.
