  • Beautiful place with a wondrous echo. Great place to just sit and contemplate/meditate. If you can sing, bring in some Latin hymns, it has perfect acoustics for that.
  • A beautiful monastery, worth a quick visit!
  • Very peaceful, feel the Holy Spirit, very inviting
  • This beautiful monastery is build over the upper cave of Elijah. You an go inside and view the cave and sit on the pews. The cave is more of an alcove with an alter built into it.
  • Historical church, few cafes and restaurants around. As well nice view from there

Where to stay in Haifa

Look in the German Colony district close to the port to find the main bulk of the accommodations in Haifa. With its proximity to many of the urban attractions, this area has become a modern tourism hot spot. Here, you'll discover a rich mix of luxury hotels and boutiques set in well-maintained old blocks, as well as particularly budget-friendly options such as guesthouses. Alternatively, the coastline provides plenty of upmarket hotels in the more developed neighborhoods, and a scattering of guesthouses and resorts close to the sandy beaches.
