#3 of 15 in Museums in Haifa
Perched on a hilltop with scenic views of the bay, Sculptures Garden (Gan Hapsalim) displays 29 bronze sculptures by Berlin-born artist Ursula Malbin. Walk across the green grass lawns past sculptures representing children and teenagers playing with balls, hoops, kittens, and birds. A significant number of statues are nudes, which prompted a group of Orthodox Jews to make the unusual request that the artist dress them. We had an hour or two to pass, and looked for something light, so I traveled there with my boy (2.5) and my father, and very helpful. * Where * on-grounds large doll sculpture-29. the majority of children, mothers and animals. * Tips * 1. Worth to take a minute and read the Wikipedia on the story of Ursula malbin. Holocaust survivor who donated the statues hands acts. 2. parking lot directly opposite the entrance (we missed for some reason). 3. to switch between sculpture and try to direct around amusing picture:) 4. oweiz familiar and sculpture garden should navigate directly to ל"גן, Haifa (we tried to navigate according to address non-specific place). Please note that there are 2 statues, gardens and grounds is adjacent to hatzionut Avenue).

Unfamiliar to many, this is one of Haifa's best parks, regardless of its petit size. The garden is decorated with real size statues that kids love climbing. Benches, green grass and the spectacular view make this a great romantic getaway. Many bring their dogs and enjoy the fully fenced park, mostly at evening time. Free entrance, no facilities, available free parking below the park.

It is nice spot to make a picnic and it is very close to a nice view point over Haifa. The garden itself isn't really big and the sculptures are not so expressive. I would come here only of you have some spare time in Haifa.

Where to stay in Haifa

Look in the German Colony district close to the port to find the main bulk of the accommodations in Haifa. With its proximity to many of the urban attractions, this area has become a modern tourism hot spot. Here, you'll discover a rich mix of luxury hotels and boutiques set in well-maintained old blocks, as well as particularly budget-friendly options such as guesthouses. Alternatively, the coastline provides plenty of upmarket hotels in the more developed neighborhoods, and a scattering of guesthouses and resorts close to the sandy beaches.
