Ein Hod Artists Village, Haifa
Categories: Art Galleries, Museums, Shopping
At the foot of Mt. Carmel surrounded by rolling green hills sits Ein Hod Artists Village, a community brought together through their passion of making art. The village provides a rustic atmosphere filled with traditional stone houses, narrow walkways, and a mixture of olive groves and fruit orchards. See the locals practicing a diverse range of arts, including painting, visual performances, pottery, and jewelry-making to theatre and literature. The museum serves as the village's main attraction, exhibiting work by Janco, one of the originators of the Dada movement. The central gallery exhibits one of the largest collections of Israeli art and displays most of the villagers work. Plan ahead to tour this site: a tour of the village must be arranged in advance.
