Ein Hod Artists Village, Haifa
(4/5 based on 80+ reviews on the web)
At the foot of Mt. Carmel surrounded by rolling green hills sits Ein Hod Artists Village, a community brought together through their passion of making art. The village provides a rustic atmosphere filled with traditional stone houses, narrow walkways, and a mixture of olive groves and fruit orchards. See the locals practicing a diverse range of arts, including painting, visual performances, pottery, and jewelry-making to theatre and literature. The museum serves as the village's main attraction, exhibiting work by Janco, one of the originators of the Dada movement. The central gallery exhibits one of the largest collections of Israeli art and displays most of the villagers work. Plan ahead to tour this site: a tour of the village must be arranged in advance.
  • It is a very pretty village of artists, a bit far from everything. Nice even if I feel that the village is désertifie compared to a few years ago...

  • We visited this place to our friends who live in Haifa during our trip to places not travel that they organized specially for us. I am a lover of art and painting. So be here for me it was a great joy, received just unusual thrill of exploring this village artists, there are unique, many small art galleries and, most importantly, everything for free. Walked for a long time, but it was a little time as very regretted. Here, you can walk for hours on end.
