Baha'i Gardens and Golden Dome, Haifa

(4.6/5 based on 2,200+ reviews on the web)
Driving or walking up to Baha'i Gardens and Golden Dome remains a jaw-dropping experience, as the symmetrical and perfectly manicured grounds seem impossibly difficult to maintain. Tours of the gardens take place in several languages a few times a day and are the only way visitors can see the site up close. Walk with your guide from the gardens' tallest point down to the shrine of the Bab, a Baha'i holy leader and prophet. Dress modestly to cover your shoulders and knees and keep in mind that no food or drink except for water may be brought into the gardens. Plan your Baha'i Gardens and Golden Dome visit and explore what else you can see and do in Haifa using our Haifa vacation builder.

  • We were there on Wednesday, could they have there a preventive day, but in the lower Garden we could visit only a small platform at the entrance. Then 15 minutes ran in the average garden to see the tomb of their religious boss but it is not worth it: a room full of carpets, candles and fresh roses. On average, a small plot of garden the garden is available for walking. There is, of course, beautiful, well cared for and very calmly: nice place to quietly reflect and resemble bustle. In the upper Garden was also only available observation platform, and the garden was closed for visitors. But the types of course Super;)

  • The shrine of the Báb is the most striking symbol of Haifa and at the same time world heritage and should be seen therefore also on a short visit to Haifa. The central area is only with a guided tour to visit, starting at the upper part of the garden. Should you have no time or opportunity to participate in this, you can visit a part of the site and enjoy the beautiful views of the temple and the gardens of the staircase from the lower end of the garden out. Eating, drinking and smoking are also prohibited.

  • Come to this fantastic place it is better to learn at what time will be excursions in your language, because it is impossible to go without a guide and see everything. Fantastic views from the top. You can admire the top, then walk along the city streets a bit below and login to the middle tier, admire the garden. It should be remembered that this is not a church and burial place of the founder of the religion, and they are very carefully revere the memory of him and did not want tourists to have eaten or drank, fell near the Tomb. With the intermediate level you can walk along the streets to the German quarter and admire the garden below. No matter how you look is great!
