Timna Park, Eilat

(4.7/5 based on 1,000+ reviews on the web)
Visit Timna Park for a rare glimpse of the marvels of ancient engineering coupled with natural desert beauty. The park spans 6,070 hectares (15,000 acres) and includes a host of unusual geological formations like naturally eroded arches and columns. Also within its borders, you can view ancient mining techniques used in the area since as early as the 10th century BCE, when Edomites extracted the resource for use in decorations and weaponry. In addition to touring the premises, you can arrange to rent bikes in the park, camp there overnight, or take pedal boats out on the lake. • Debunked the myth that to Timna Park, take the tours organized, or a rented car we chose on their own. We arrived at local bus and we came on foot several miles to the entrance gate while enjoying desert landscapes. We picked up the trail on Mount Timna to OASIS. Recommended to everyone this route because of the atmosphere and space.
