(4.7/5 based on 950+ reviews on the web)
Visit Timna Park for a rare glimpse of the marvels of ancient engineering coupled with natural desert beauty. The park spans 6,070 hectares (15,000 acres) and includes a host of unusual geological formations like naturally eroded arches and columns. Also within its borders, you can view ancient mining techniques used in the area since as early as the 10th century BCE, when Edomites extracted the resource for use in decorations and weaponry. In addition to touring the premises, you can arrange to rent bikes in the park, camp there overnight, or take pedal boats out on the lake.
