Ice Mall, Eilat

Shopping Mall · Hidden Gem · Shopping
A combination of high-end shopping and ice-skating makes Ice Mall popular among locals and visitors. Set in a ten-story shopping center featuring an 800 sq m (8,611 sq ft) ice rink, the mall treats foreign passport-holders to a value-added tax exemption. Spanning 40,000 sq m (130,000 sq ft), the complex features some 150 retailers and 19 food venues. • Nice and chill, if you're hungry there's plenty offerings, if you're thirsty there's plenty of offerings. If you need any type of clothing item.. you guessed it, there's plenty of offerings! There's also attractions for kids and adults! Nice place to spend time and cool down from the heat and waste some money!
  • It's a hip mall surrounding a family purpose ice ring. I was there on a holiday and most shops were closed; but, it was still cool... So to speak... :-p
  • There is a working Ice Rink in the middle of this two-story mall with the stores all around. There are a number of different types of stores here. Lunch from McDonald’s was very good.
  • I visited this mall recently. It was during a scuba trip I partook in. I didn't really want to go out that night, but my friends dragged my relentless self out on the town. When we arrived there, it seemed busy; people walking among the countless shops. And I felt a bit overwhelmed. It reminded me of the Christmas season. (A perfectly pristine and pleasant holiday, tainted by the bustling and hustling of people faking grins, in markets across the world.) We walked around the first layer, and I became a little more at ease; the area had dispersed the groups of strangers nicely. It felt a tad more lonesome. (Which I enjoy) We took the escalator up to the upper floor. And there, I began to like it less. The Christmas-esk busyness of the whole thing, trippled. And the lights and sounds were all too bright and loud. I began to cook up a devilish cocktail of headaches, sadness, and confusion. The people around me started to blur into a swish of intriguing paint. And I got a bit worried. But it's a mall. And malls are fun for some people. Just not me. On that day. With those people.
