(4/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web)
Visit the archaeological complex of Qumran Caves, a series of caverns where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. The caves, some of them natural and some manmade, were the location where the ancient scrolls, some of the oldest manuscripts of the Hebrew Bible, were found in 1947. Bring plenty of water and suitable footwear to explore the historic caves and the surrounding ruins of the Qumran settlement. Take a look at our Jerusalem tourist route planner to schedule your visit to Qumran Caves and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • A lost sheep who fallen in a gap and was picked up by a small boy in the gap found the boy reels that he showed sheep Shepherd! As was discovered in the historical "Dead Sea scrolls"! Today, the site has become a tourist attraction! Attraction as such is not something headlong over!
