(4/5 based on 240+ reviews on the web)
Visit the archaeological complex of Qumran Caves, a series of caverns where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. The caves, some of them natural and some manmade, were the location where the ancient scrolls, some of the oldest manuscripts of the Hebrew Bible, were found in 1947. Bring plenty of water and suitable footwear to explore the historic caves and the surrounding ruins of the Qumran settlement. • Worth it for the great historical importance. Was the place where they found the Dead Sea Scrolls.

  • Remainders of the communities of the Essenes, where could find the manuscripts of Qumran, are located on the shores of the dead sea, near where Jericho did. They are places full of meaning for the judeo-Christian culture. The Museum can hear these ascetic communities, and fragments of the Bible they could find in good condition thanks to the dry air rich in salts. Another theme party is to take a dip in the dead sea, healthy and no doubt original experience.

  • Interesting historically, nice video. Absolutely horrible restaurant with below average food. I could have done with missing this attraction.
