Dead Sea, Dead Sea Region

4.5
#1 of 20 in Things to do in Dead Sea Region
Swim, float, and nourish your skin at Dead Sea, a hypersaline lake. At 428 m (1,404 ft) below sea level, it is the earth's lowest point. However, the sea is most notable for the water's saltiness, which makes it good for floating and lends it some restorative dermatological properties. Salt and minerals from the sea are used in cosmetics and bath products all over the world. Camp or lounge on the sandy, open-access, northwest beach surrounded by hotels, or visit the mineral beach where bathers coat their skin in healing black mud. Be careful not to get the water in your eyes or in any open cuts--it will sting. Choose to start, finish, or center your holiday on a trip to Dead Sea by using our Ein Bokek itinerary planner.

Some clothes in the dressing room of the hotel swimsuit, when it comes to the dead sea floating experience. Watch or mobile phone, please don't have absolute, bring only bath towels and plastic bottles on the beach. In the deep salt breaks down. The fact is shiohama say beach. White salt crystals are thickly covered with shore. Lying at a depth of 50 centimeters. One-third of the body and what's on the water. I feel that sits only half got air to float on. From the neck is not wet at all. Balustrade terrace extends to the deepest part is covered with popsicles-white ice. Rather than ice crystals of salt packed. The bottle of salt water into your eyes, immediately rinse with water. Notice that rise from the water, and abrasions on hands and feet. It is for this sharp salt crystals to the skin to scratches. Airborne experience, absolutely do not experience was in the best mood.

Takes at least an hour to get there! Suggest you bring some type of water shoes to wear. Don't bother with buying any Dead Sea mud at the location, you can get it everywhere in Israel! HINT: Bring wat...  more »
