  • We went there for an event but had our guide walk us through this magical place. Yes they are ruins but has quite a story to tell. It’s a bit far from the city but if you go as a group it’s worth it. ...  more »
  • Great place, definitely better than the Caesarea all wonderfully preserved. The lack of crowds and the popularity of this place is zdecydoanie less, you don't have to go with a guide with all the information you'll hear of the charming speakers, which stand at strategic locations. One tells the story of the amphitheatre and uses its acoustics. Really worth to visit this place

  • An amazing archaeological site. Well preserved ND vast. Lots to explore. Came with a tour guide. Great views of ruins as well from the top.
  • The best preserved archeological park from both the Cananite, Roman and Byzantine periods. The public bathhouse is the largest and same for the Cardo and amphitheater.
  • An ancient city founded by roman people and ruined by devastating earthquake. Only two pillars survived it. "Jesus Christ Superstar" was filmed here. There are guided night tours from march to november. With illuminations, projections and ambient sounds. On top of the hill you can observe panorama and the famous tree from the movie. Roman baths, theatre, Palladius street with pillars. Everything that is typical for roman settlement is included. Very impressive and fairly well preserved.
  • Awesome sight to see, would of loved to see it before the earthquake hit.
  • A great site for a review and appreciation of the Holy Land in Biblical times. A well preserved city center from and Byzantine times, that was knocked down by a devestating earth quake in 749 CE. Finds from Canaanite times to the Middle Ages, including the biggest bath house ever found in Israel, a theatre, an Amphitheatre, a net of streets and even a public Latrine and a brothel..
