Hatzerim Israel Airforce Museum, Beersheba
(4.2/5 based on 110+ reviews on the web)
Discover the history of Israel's mighty air force at Hatzerim Israel Airforce Museum. The museum displays over 150 planes, from World War II spitfires to modern F-15s. See the MIG that brought a Syrian deserter to Israel in 1966, as well as other trophies captured from Egypt and Jordan. Contemplate the history behind the helicopter that carried an Israeli prime minister and an Egyptian president to a truce-signing. Head inside to see smaller artifacts, such as photos of IAF leaders, uniforms, and mock-ups. You can enter some planes for exploration, including a Boeing jet now serving as a movie theater. • Worth a visist if you've never been. It's more exciting for young children and aviation enthusiasts. Some of the planes must go through some maintenance
