  • Very worth a visit. Shows lots of history and heritage of Ireland. We were made welcome and found it very informative. Shows how the better half lived.
  • If your touring around Westport then Westport House is the place to go, Great for the kids and alot of town history. Check it out.

  • Camped for two nights. Staff are friendly and helpful. Grounds are beautiful. The campsite and facilities are a bit run down and We had to have luke warm showers. The refreshments, food and any extras are all very expensive. Although we enjoyed it we wouldn't go again. Entry to the pirates adventure park is not value for money.
  • Camped two nights with a few friends. Was pleasantly surprised how nice the grounds were. Not sure how good it is for kids but it looked very accommodating for families. Toilets/showers were not the greatest but did the job, there weren't too bad. Most impressive was the quality of the WiFi in the camping area. Very good overall experience and pretty quiet past 11:30pm so got decent sleep.
  • My husband and I visited Westport House with our two children aged 5 & 3 in March. We had a very enjoyable day spending about 5 hours on the grounds looking around and trying the various rides & attractions. It was easy to get from one place to the next and everything was well signposted. There were certainly lots of options for things to do with no excessive queuing really and kids really enjoyed the pedal karts/buggys, the swan pedalos and the train ride and of course the bouncy castle and the big slide. They also enjoyed the sand pit in near the pirate ship etc.. allowing us to have a relaxing coffee after our picnic. Food stands are located in convenient spots if you do want to pick up something as you go around and there are a few options for sit in food also. There are picnic benches dotted around throughout the grounds it seemed so plenty of choice where to sit. They also enjoyed the house and the magic mirrors and on the way back we couldnt miss out on the outdoor playground and the indoor soft play area so all boxes ticked. It was a lovely way to spend a day with family and not very expensive unless you want it to be once you have paid for your ticket in. All in all a great day and a special mention to the go kart attendant and the train driver who were particularly entertaining and mindful of young children. Would happily go again.
  • Always a favourite with my kids. Food is good however breakfast items are a little over priced so we didn't bother. Pizza are delicious. Campsite is fine just a little disorganised when it comes to electric hook up points...took me 45 mins to find one that wasn't soaking. Facilities are great for all the family..simple and a little run down but good value for money overall.
  • Family trip with two small kids. Quite expensive considering they were too small for some of the rides but they enjoyed it none the less. Some old style carnival rides also, independents quite adept at ring you off.... Stay away. 3 euro a pop. The house itself is underwhelming with little investment being put towards it... Shame really. Worth a visit once and that's about it.
