History Museum
Celtic and Prehistoric Museum offers a different kind of historical experience, with collections dating back thousands of years. Harris Moore founded this private museum about 10 years ago and filled six rooms with fascinating artifacts, including objects from the Jurassic, Stone and Bronze Ages, as well as the Celtic and Viking eras. You have the chance to see the only intact wooly mammoth skull in Ireland, with its tusks still attached, as well as a complete baby dinosaur skeleton, a large nest of dinosaur eggs, and a cave bear skeleton. • Surprise museum along the road in Dingle Peninsula. Interesting artifacts. Very colorful. Not a lot of provenance information, but enjoyable nonetheless.  more »

  • This was unexpected and really interesting. They have a full woolly mammoth scull that you can touch. A really nice place to stop. I got a Roman coin from the time of Claudius.
  • Interesting place. Really worth to visit.
  • A brilliant personal collection of artefacts from pre Stone Age to Bronze Age from all over the world. Really interesting and well presented. The mammoth skull is worth the money itself! Excellent shop too.
  • I was first there 3 years ago, and was simply amazed at the collection. This is the work of a passionate couple who just love history and collecting it. Don't miss it.
  • Surprisingly interesting. It's not what you'd expect. Drop in if you're driving by.
