Banna Strand, Tralee

Categories: Beaches, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
Inspirock Rating:
4.9/5 based on 280+ reviews on the web
Enjoy relaxation and recreation at Banna Strand, a long, sandy beach hugging Tralee Bay. Sand dunes run along the entire length of the beach, and there are plenty of activities to enjoy. Try your skills at kite surfing, paragliding, and boogie boarding, or if you prefer a more low-key approach, get out the fishing pole. The current from the Atlantic is not too strong and children can swim safely with supervision from on-site lifeguards. For a bit of history, look for the memorial honoring several men who attempted to land arms for Irish Republicans from a German vessel.
