Create an itinerary including Jerpoint Park
Get a breath of fresh air at Jerpoint Park, a historical spot filled with wildlife and impressive old trees. Walk among the oaks, chestnuts, limes, and beeches, and keep an eye out for birds. If you are feeling adventurous, take advantage of the park's "tracker packs," which include binoculars, a compass, and a magnifying glass. Watch a sheepdog demonstration and observe how the dog and its owner communicate and work together to herd sheep. This site also makes a perfect fishing spot--ask about the wild salmon and brown trout fishing. Inspirock's itinerary builder makes planning a Kilkenny trip simple and quick.

  • Jerpoint park is a delightful place with amazing history. The grounds are beautiful and Joe was a wealth of information as well as a good story teller. We had a great time with him and would highly recommend coming here when you’re in the area
  • Such a sweet place with loads of history. The owner, Joe, was wonderful.
  • The guide, although very old, was a great guide and told us everything about the place, there are a lot of sheep in the area and some friendly donkeys

  • Only accessible if you go on the tour (€10 at the door, but can get it cheaper from a tour company) - that being said, the tour is well worth it. The guide is funny and informed, and gave us some local history about the town, some social history about the history of Ireland and even showed us the sheep dogs doing lots of tricks. Recommend!
