  • it is lovely to see an old castle restored. still a work in progress but the parts that are finished a worth a visit  more »
  • it was closed when we were there at night but it was lit up beautifully. We didn't get to walk around the grounds - the gates were locked but I will go see it if and when I am in Swords.  more »
  • The facade of Swords Castle is nice, there is one room worth visiting, the rest is a bit of a let down.  more »

  • Great to see the ongoing restoration of the castle. More importantly it is fantastic to see the use being made of it by Fingal county council. Recently attended an open air showing of the movie "In America". Absolutely brilliant.
  • It's a good tour but a bit expensive. You learn a lot of about history and with much languages, if you are studying English you could understand all the tour.
  • Ancient castle. Recently restored. It's now possible to visit some rooms. Christmas markets have been organised in December, along with other events. Worth a visit.
  • When I came, there was nobody inside! I had the chance to enter the castle without much hassle, and took some pictures and videos. The castle wall at the time was not open, and there were some recovery works in progress. The staff there was friendly and helpful.
  • A beautiful castle that is in prgress of getting a renovation.
