  • Don't miss out on this huge megalithic site. A walk in the Green and the wind! The area is immaculately maintained, easy to follow guide in French, good practice to understand the mysteries of this mysterious place railways.

  • Carrowmore was an awesome stop and a must do. The prices are very reasonable and you can easily spend a couple of hours or more here. The trails are grassy, so our shoes got a little wet, so hiking boots might have been better. Overall this is an amazing place. Go here and be amazed!
  • So much history, so much beauty in one place! Our tour guide was personable and knowledgable. I had no idea at the depth and breadth of this tour. It was fun and amazing to learn about the tombs and ruins right there at the location. An easy walk through the field made it even more than I expected.
  • If you are fascinated by ancient history, as I am, then you would enjoy Carrowmore. If not, you may find it to be a boring set of various piles of rocks. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and spoke at length about the local neolithic monuments (the Sligo area has the highest concentration of neolithic monuments in Europe) what is known and what is conjectured, as well as local history and culture. I very much enjoyed this connection to our ancient ancestors.
  • Cool site, worth checking out. But unless you go on a guided tour, you will just see a few rocks in a big grass field.
  • There are 3 stone circles here and several megalithic tombs it is not to be missed! Like stepping back in time!
