  • Touring around with brother-in-law and husband. The centre was very good and interesting we enjoyed it. It was great to learn more about the famine.  more »
  • We had visited once before but only briefly. This time we spent enough time to look at all the exhibits and recordings. It's a sobering place which shows off the truth of a very hard time when so many...  more »
  • It's small but has a wealth of information. The museum is more reading and listening to accounts of what happened during the famine in the 1840's and 1850's. It was a very emotional experience. I had ...  more »

  • Some great local information from during the famine and all given with audio guides
  • Nicely assembled and good information too. Keep going
  • This a most interesting museum, featuring two exhibitions (famine, Lough Hyme). We only had time for the famine exhibition but it was well worth it - considering the fact that in general, too little information is provided elsewhere on history / cultural heritage, this makes it an exception. The exhibition is well-organised, easy to follow, and of ideal length. Highly reccommended!
