  • Very relaxing place, the room we had was in the Mews next to main lodge, we had our own little garden out back, the décor of room was Japanese style with sliding screens. The walking around the ground...  more »
  • We decided to go a bit off the beaten track to see the sky garden. For what it was, it was impressive - even on a rainy day. Had I to do it over again I would probably forego this, as a sunny day woul...  more »
  • This place is simply magical. Everything is so easy; checkin, visiting the gardens, taking the boat out onto the lake and private viewing of the stunning sky garden. The staff can't do enough for you....  more »

  • I'm not a person who looks for peace and quiet, but the moment you walk out of the car park and join the pathway under the trees, something washes over you. It's a beautiful quitetude... Drift away into your own calmness. Stand on the jetty and look out onto the lough, walk through the standing stones then walk through the short tunnel into the "sky garden". There you just let everything wash over you...... If the sun is shining ,things couldn't be better. If not you just tell yourself that's why Ireland is sooo green! Either before or after your visit spend time in Skibbereen. It's well worth it Our family have visited 3or 4 times. We didn't have entry problems last time (three years back)
  • Beautiful place to spend an afternoon walking around
  • Soooo cool! Make sure to go when you have time to enjoy the approach and spend time in the crater. Ideally on a sunny or only partly cloudy day.
  • Amazing experience.
  • First is no longer opened publicly, according to the Guide by vandalism. You have to arrange a first visit at the Resort for the guided small group (I'm not sure, because I didn't ask, but there seems to be only two groups daily on weekend). Then, expect me that the monument/work was larger. Finally the entry steps are complicated. It is beautiful, rare and you understand what explains the guide who wanted to transmit the artist, but not found me nothing extraordinary. The surroundings are very beautiful, but have nothing to do with the visit (have your POI as Lisa Ard Gardens) and are free. The hotel, not is if it was coincidence, but it seemed far away from our normal habits/scope;). I have more pictures but are with people and I don't like to put them.
