  • We write to be by e-mail the day before and the next morning had answered us that there was no problem in visiting. We saw on the internet some documentaries about the Castle and haunted nature, what was useful, because in the same place there is nothing resembling a guide (it is a private residence). Best of the visit was its owner Sean. It was very cozy, opened us the doors of his house, and we chatted long time beside the fire, where we also shared local liquor and played the flute. It is a great character. "Haunted" Parties not you is accompanied, but only designates the road, which is almost as scary as the same destination (Bloody Chapel). Without a doubt, if you have time, worth stopping.

  • What a character, Sean greeted us at the door, intrigued us with history and his extraordinary castle. It is well worth a visit, we climbed to the bloody Chapel. Felt unusual presence around us, through our camera and with the naked eye, orbs can be seen flying past. Fantastic experience.
  • Just had the privilege of staying in this beautiful place renowned throughout Ireland and farther afield. It feels like a step out of time. With history, lore and legend, it is the quintessential experience of Ireland.
  • I already put this place up as the place to visit really brilliant scary but bareable a serious must visit outstanding
  • One of the most interesting pieces of Irish History that I've ever visited and that includes Dublin Castle and Newgrange. (That said I'm fascinated by very old castles!) Very unique and personalable experience. It's kind of unusual and special to be invited into a strangers home to sit with them by the fire for a bit of a history chat and then be allowed to explore much of their home! I didn't realise that it's actually a proper Irish castle as opposed to a Norman castle which made it even more intriguing for me. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend it. I did call ahead in the morning just to make sure they were taking visitors that afternoon.
  • Pretty sweet except the Budweiser caps at the top
