  • We almost didn't make it here due to not having a car to drive, but I am pleased to say it is extremely easy to get here by train and taxi from Dublin which is where we were staying. Mr. Ryan was such...  more »

  • A great experience. Sean is very knowledgeable on the jistory of the castle and is a great storyteller. Played some great music on the tin whistle. You need to call beforehand to make sure he is home.
  • Awesome experience. Leap Castle is a historic site that holds its history in the walls. Walking up to the "Bloody Chapel" was a tight spiral staircase but offered great views of Ireland's landscape and wild life. The Oubliette was really interesting to see. For a good time and low cost attraction, Leap castle is definitely worth the time. Also if you got some time, talk to Sean the owner. Really cool guy with lots of stories.
  • The castle is amazing, but the owner, Sean Ryan our host made it one of the best experiences we had in Ireland, he played us a tune around the fireplace and told us many historical and spooky tales about the deeds that took place in his unusual home. We found ourselves not wanting to leave the fire and great storytelling, thank you Mr. Ryan! DO NOT MISS THIS CASTLE !!!!! He handed us a flashlight and said go up and have a look and stay as long as you like... Amazing adventure !
  • That's a good place to visit and the oner of the castle is a genuine guy. Worth everything to visit the place
  • Authentic castle, being restored by one man and his wife.
