Inspirock Rating:
4.6/5 based on 170+ reviews on the web
Kick off your shoes at Portmarnock Beach, a narrow beach with notably smooth sand and an active atmosphere. A path along the beach is a favorite for walkers, cyclers, and roller skaters. If you would rather be in the water, try your hand at wind or kite surfing. When the weather gets hot, look for the small shops with ice cream to soothe your cravings. Aviation buffs will appreciate that this was also the starting point for two important flights: one completed a trip around the world in 1930, and the other was the first to complete a solo trip around the world. • This is a great beach with long winding views. Beautiful walk along the coast and highly recommend. Close to golf course also.
  • Clean and well maintained. Very nice paths for walking and on a bus route to Dublin. The velvet strand and orb are interesting features. Great place to walk at low tide
