  • The mines are open again to the public and renovated. Well lit and safe for all to visit. Brought our daughter and loved panning for minerals. Great insight into how life in the mines was.
  • Wonderful time spent with the Manager after the visit. Very sensitive on the functioning of the stones and energy discussion was very lively and pleasant despite the broken English. Very good memory

  • I visited here with my family in August. There's a small museum (one room with minerals, photos and old mining gear), a gift shop, panning for gems (four zones in the one trough) and the mine itself. The tour starts with getting a helmet on and a brief talk in the museum. Then, it's of down the mine via a concrete staircase. It's not warm or dry down the mine, so do wear good shoes and something warm. The mine tour isn't long, but informative and both my kids enjoyed it.
  • We found this place accidently and absolutly loved our tour!! It was amazing and will recommend to everyone we know!
  • Excellent experience. A great family runs this place. Really interesting.
  • Very impressive set up demonstrating the Ireland mining scene of the 19th century. Owner has great knowledge of the local area.
