I am familiar with JFK's visit, but my kids weren't, the whole experience was top class, lovely facilities, flowers blooming, clean and modern. The museum was packed with facts and exhibits and the staff were excellent. My boy being born abroad (and a proud Irishman) was very happy when the lady guide asked of him and his London Irish roots, she said that he like JFK was 'one of ours'.. Don't miss it, well worth the few hours we were there
Great if you want to find out about JFK and his family roots in Ireland, otherwise would be of no interest to you. Not for kids, they'll be bored out of their skulls. Has toilets, a gift shop and a coffee machine. Guides friendly and informative and ours seemed to genuinely enjoy passing on the information. It's a small farm and with the guide's talk and a stroll round at your own pace an hour is about the right length of time to spend here. Tie it in with a visit to the JFK Arboretum about 15 minutes away by car.
The guide was fantastic, she had a great way of sharing the history of jfk. The Museum was bright airy and spotless clean. They have a cute little gift shop. Great parking for cars. But the farm house was rubbish, out side there is a shed to view. That's it. I was disappointed, with it. Still worth the visit. The place is easy to find.
This was a great, 1 hr stop. Info about family in Ireland, Presidential visit for family reunion, family tree info. Enjoyable.
A very comprehensive museum, with a large collection of Kennedy artefacts. The staff are attentive, affable and knowledgeable about the history of the political dynasty and their Irish roots. Well-worth a visit if you are in the New Ross or Waterford area.
