We brought our little girl (3) to see Santie at Causey farm and she loved it. It was very well done and almost magical. She adored the elves workshop and didnt want to leave it. Santie was lovely too more »
A good Christmas experience for my two girls 6 and 8, the first part with the stables and the animals left a little to be desired, and some of the elves certainly could do with an injection of elfish as they were a little lack lustre. But the last elf with Santa certainly made up for it and the big man himself Santa was very good to the children. He could do with a more realistic suit though as it was a little cheap. The presents that the girls got from Santa were OK. Overall not a bad experience
Had a great time on a Hen Perry here Jean our instructor was absolutely ace,are the day for us all
This is our 3rd year going. My little girl loves it. It's a bit father Ted and not as refined or as well finished as the likes of Rathwood but what it doesn't have in polished finishes it makes up for in warm and cosy friendly welcome. It's very traditional and the children visit lots of things the stable, An old cottage where a Christmas story is told and the children get to make a wish on the Christmas pudding, Santa's post office, The Elf house, Santa's bedroom, The toy shop and then Santa. He actually comes down a chimney to their amazement. Great presents too. No tat. Very rustic with lots of animals to see & touch. Then a mirror maze and ball game for the children to play at the end. Dress in warm clothes, wellies and warm socks. There is a lovely cafe at the end serving homemade soup , pastries etc. Great non commercial day out with at a rustic, unrefined location with lovely staff who are very attentive to the children.
Had a fantastic time visiting santa and the elves with 3 kids between 4 and 5 1/2 y old. They loved every minute of it! Bring wellies, a warm winter jacket and a nice outfit for the pict with Santa! A true Magical place for the little ones and it ll make the bigger ones smile.... with at the end a decent present (only wish it was cheaper for adults...)
Our first visit to Causey Farm was for the Christmas Experience, and it was great. We started our walk at 4:30pm, just as darkness was falling. En route to Santa we met Mary & Joseph, visited a traditional cottage, met the elves, and helped Mrs. Claus. All the staff are into it and are very patient with the kids. Props to Joseph for keeping his humour while sitting in a cold stable. Families are brought around in groups and collectively meet Santa, but are brought up to sit with him individually and receive a gift. Photos are taken, which you've the option to purchase later if you wish after viewing them. We recovered in the café where they serve hot drinks, toasted sandwiches, sausage rolls, and cakes. Best not to grab a table before being called for your tour, but we were glad of it at the end before hitting the road. The whole tour took about 90mins, and was a special Christmas experience for kids and parents alike. Well done team Causey!
