Belvedere House Gardens & Park, Mullingar
(4/5 based on 360+ reviews on the web)
Visit an 18th-century country estate at Belvedere House Gardens & Park, known for its spectacular Rococo ceilings. Richard Castle, a famous Anglo-German architect (who designed several well-known structures throughout Ireland, including Dublin's Leinster House), built this home in 1740 as a hunting lodge. The building is beloved for its Diocletian windows, 19th-century terraced gardens, and Rococo plasterwork ceilings, which are considered to be some of the best in the country. Tour this historic home and walk through its lush gardens, or visit to attend one of the site's many events, such as music festivals and garden theater performances. • As a season ticket holder I visit regularly with my 5 year old. We love it and always enjoy the day out and pic nice if weather allows. Daily prices are quiet expensive for family's, other than that 5 stars ✨
  • One star less just because the gardens need more care. Fairy garden especially. Beside it's a nice place for a long walk in good ,sunny day. Coffe shop have a great coffe! And great thing is that o can take my dog with us everytime we are there.

  • Lovely grounds with follies and the main house to view. Can't comment on the price as we had vouchers but perhaps it wouldn't be worth it if we had paid full price as there wasn't a whole lot to see in the house so essentially it's just a walk in a big park. Still, we had a nice day and enjoyed the scenery.
  • Beautiful place to walk around the grounds with a nice if overpriced cafe on the way out
