  • Old Jameson Distillery in Midleton. Beautiful buildings in a lovely setting next to the new, huge plant. Very interesting tour, clean and fun! Bought our own whiskey bottle 100 euros. WE poured it, fi...  more »
  • As Jameson fans, we knew we HAD to do the tour and it did not disappoint. Our guide was very informative and the tour is fun, especially if you are chosen as one of the special tasters at the end! As ...  more »
  • Much larger than we thought it would be. We are not whiskey drinkers so it was not the highlight of our trip. Nice building and you learn how whisky is made. I took a sip of the tastings and did not l...  more »

  • My trip was planned a few weeks ahead for Academy experience. When we arrived sadly there was an issue in their system and we could not go on that tour. The staff was very accommodating and offered store credit for lower but still amazing behind scenes tour. The bartender at the time upfront was amazing and skilled at her craft. My old fashion was beautifully done. Overall amazing trip.
  • When we first arrived we didn't think this tour would be that great (we compared it to the Guinness tour in Dublin). It was a small waiting room, a restaurant that was packed and closing soon, and a little shop. But then we took the tour. Fascinating information and tour showing us the ins and outs of whiskey. Then at the end you get samples and a drink. They even let a few volunteers sample Jameson, Scotch Whiskey, and Jack Daniels to compare all three. My husband got to do that and he said it was such a big difference. We are Jameson Whiskey lovers forever now! 🥃
  • Fantastic day out! We did the behind the scenes tour and it was worth every cent! A very in depth tour about the process of whiskey distilling. We even got to taste 3 different Jameson whiskeys at 3 very special locations! A must do for every whiskey lover!
  • Great telling of the history of Ireland's most famous spirit. Tour guide was very well versed in all aspects of the process, was only a little over an hour so good time wise, and a free drink at the end. If you enjoy Jameson it's worth a visit.
  • Great learning experience for those with even a general interest in distilling and whiskey. The guides are friendly, very knowledgeable, and the tours are easy-going, not rushed. While the tour is not high-tech, as you'll find at the Guinness Brewery tour, Jameson outperforms with historical perspective. You touch, see, and hear Jameson's history...and the past and present of the distilling process. You're literally walking the grounds of a former working distillery! (The new, modern distillery is right next door.) You've come all this way...So I'd suggest the premium tasting. It's a guided tasting of four different premium whiskeys and you'll gain much more knowledge of how barreling effects taste, aroma, and how to identify those nodes. As always, be responsible. Have fun, but leave yourselves time to have a bite to eat and drink some water before driving away.
