  • Probably could have been timed better as we were the first guided tour of the day at 10am. Bright and early so no crowds. Claire did well to enthuse her group from all round the world. She engaged people well to participate and gave her own perspectives as well. Definitely not a dry historical talk. Not the best time for whisky tasting though in the AM - but as I was still in a different time zone, I managed OK. Beware that the staff obviously work in a distillery that has a considerable output, and the pours can be rather generous (not a complaint). Towards mid-day the crowds definitely picked up and there were people everywhere. It depends on whether you like the atmosphere, or want to see the exhibits unmolested.
  • Went as part of a stag group and the trip was made by the tour guide Louis (Louie?). It was only his second week on the job but he was well able for a rowdy group of semi drunk Dublin lads. He was able to answer any question and more importantly had a razor sharp reply for any banter we threw his way. He kept the group on track and seemed to be having as much fun as we were. Can't recommend this place enough. All the staff we brilliant, the tour is fascinating if you like whiskey or not and the town of Midleton is brilliant
  • The tour of the historic Jameson Distillery is excellent, through and well presented. The historic distillery ceased operation in 1975 when the new, adjacent facility started operation. The historic site was converted.into a tourist site with a bar and restaurant. It is exceedingly well maintained. Recently, a small micro distillery has been installed in one of the buildings. Three distillers use it to experiment with new spirits.
  • We loved the tour! The buildings and history are amazing. Our tour guide, Peter, was great. The food at the restaurant was incredible. I can't recommend it enough!
  • From tour to tasting, everything about Midleton is fantastic. To be able to really see the old process of triple distilling and all the hard work that had to be put in to production was fun and educational. Guides are always charming and knowledgeable. No visit to Cork is complete without a stop, even if you’re not a drinker.
