  • This is one of the most beautifull bridges I have come across in my travels at one side you can see Johns Castle and the shannon is awesome to look at .... 
  • Sarsfield Bridge, or bridge Wellesley as he was known, was opened in 1835. A section of the bridge swivels to allow the ships to go higher on the Shannon. It was designed by Scottish engineer Alexander Nimmo and based on the Pont de Neuilly in Paris. A beautiful view of the rest of the city.
