  • It's kind of small museum, but it was still fun to see the artifacts that are in there and we enjoyed reading the history it shared. It won't take you long to go through it.  more »

  • Man on the desk was very helpful but very little to see here. Poor lighting. Very uninspiring.
  • Interesting and educative display of items related to the city recent history, especially 19-20C.
  • I got very lucky when I went there. It was an exhibition of World War I and how the irish were involved. Very well curated, many photographs of Irish soldiers and their days on the trench. There is also helmets, weaponry, and of course, great information about the war and items on display. I enjoyed to see the roles of women on the war, the used nurse apron with blood stains was impressive. There is also a memorial of all Irish who gave their lives at the war. A great history lesson about the Irish and WW1.

Enjoy top attractions and vibrant nightlife by staying in a hotel or smaller accommodations in Limerick's city center. The central area is not only the most convenient option, but also the safest option for tourists. Here you'll find plenty of hotels, hostels, and other lodgings that work for any budget. If you like to steer clear of the constant buzz of the city, opt for a bed and breakfast or guesthouse in the countryside surrounding the city; avoid the town's outskirts.
