  • Fascinating castle, with high quality museum. Great staff in period attire to teach sword-fighting and archery. Good cafe on site in the gift shop, as well. Views from the tower of surrounding countryside were gorgeous on a clear June day.
  • King John's castle is one of the most well preserved castles I have ever seen! Great museum inside, the museum is interesting and well suited for the whole family, so if you have kids you can take them here! If you're a photographer be prepared to take some breath-taking photos from the castle's towers, because the view up there is amazing. Visiting here is a MUST to anyone who visits Limerick.
  • The displays are excellent, informative and entertaining... Didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did. If you're in Limerick I would highly advise making time for this tour. The views on top of the tower are beautiful.
  • They did a fantastic job of making the history & info of the castle come alive! Very interactive with lots of videos & hands on experiences. There's a lot of multimedia used throughout as well. The castle itself is amazing to look at & so is the surrounding area.
  • Detailed history on the castle. Good size, nice shop attached. Wish the great Hall was still standing. That would have been a strong addition.
