  • This was one of my favorite castles that I visited. It's the best place to go if you like history because they have a ton of cool info on the castle and Limerick from years ago. Also, The castle is in good shape and is very kid friendly. I enjoyed my visit here.
  • Really cool castle and informative exhibits. You can easily spend 2 hours going through the exhibits and exploring the castle. Well preserved very accessible. Also very kid friendly.
  • Personally since I love history, my visit at King John's Castle was brilliant. I loved walking through the grounds reading and listening to the informational posts. It has mini games for children too which is great! Especially for adults who are children at heart! I'd definitely recommend visiting King John's Castle. It is a great learning experience and the structure of the castle is fantastic despite its age!
  • Displays and historical info is of the highest quality. The castle is wonderful and perfect for me to explore and take pictures.
  • If you enjoy history, this will blow your mind. A huge section telling not only the history of the castle but of Limerick as well, the most interesting part, in my opinion, was about the siege of 1642. There is a lot of media interaction, but if you just read what it is in the walls you will also be fine. The castle courtyard is astounding! Take your time to read all the info on the barrels to be absorbed by history. Great place to take pictures at the top of the towers. Great experience overall.
