  • We've been going to the Festival in Parkes for the past 8 years and it just gets bigger and better each year. The entertainment and talent is just fantastic. The Saturday parade is a must do whilst at...  more »
  • We came upon this castle as we were driving the road around Lough Gill. What a beautiful scenic drive. The castle is under some reconstruction. It doesn't take too long to venture through the grounds....  more »

  • Unfortunately, we came in the off season and weren't able to take any tours. The grounds, the castle, and the sprawling lake cradled by mountainous hills we're stunning all by themselves. Worth a quick stop on our trip.
  • Lovely visit, castle is well worth visiting. It was free with good guide for each room. Also a boat tour leaves that passes inishfree islands from right outside the castle. Good parking and friendly atmosphere. However, need a harness for babies as a lot of stairs to navigate
  • Second time we were in the area and unlucky again! God, please send me to Sligo in summer :))
  • Beautiful location, impressive castle, friendly guides, steep stairs and a boat trip too!
  • Enchanting place. The Yeats poetry tour boat leaves from here. Do check out this lovely castle on this gorgeous lake.
