  • There were 8 of us. Despite the rain, we had so much fun, and the air was so pure and clean. We watched as the sheepdog rounded up the sheep across the mountain as we looked out over Killary Fjord.  more »
  • Especially don't miss a visit to Killary sheep farm if you're vacationing in the beautiful Connemara. This March 14 it was raining ropes, gusts of wind and hail. Yet the demonstration of gathering of sheep made by Tom and his dog Roy was perfect. It is a magical moment for city dwellers who we are. Tom we warmly welcomed and put at our disposal of waxes and boots. The place is superb above the fjord. Once the work of Roy finished, we all four fed lambs. Even if you don't speak English not well, Tom will take the time to explain and answer your questions. His job, his animals are her passion. Go ahead is exciting.

  • Awesome experience! Tom was kind enough to let us come to the farm during the off-season to take in a sheep dog demo and feed a baby lamb. Thanks for your hospitality!
  • Absolutely amazing!! This was by far our favorite part of the entire trip. Tom is so welcoming and friendly, the view is spectacular, the dogs are adorable and so entertaining (we watched Sylvie work, who is a little darling). Highly recommend stopping here on your trip!
  • Tom was amazing. It was one of our favorite places that we visited in Ireland. Seriously, go visit. I fed a baby sheep with a bottle.
  • For you the tourist, this is a must visit for you. I have been to many sheep and dog trials but this place leaves them all in the shade. Watch and learn all about the sheep dog at work. Feed the baby lambs, go for a mountain stroll and observe the peat been cut in the old traditional way by hand. So much culture all in one place.
  • We had an excellent time at the Sheep Farm. The surroundings are simply stunning. Tom and his dog Roy gave us a great demonstration.
