Trip Planner: Europe / Ireland / Province of Leinster / County Kilkenny / Kilkenny / Kilkenny Architectural Salvage & Antiques
We are located on the north side of Kilkenny on the Bleach Road, occupying old woolen mills built in the 1800s. At the time one of the largest employers in the area, the site covers a massive 90,000 square feet, and has more than a mile of river frontage onto the Nore. Our Kilkenny road trip planning site makes visiting Kilkenny Architectural Salvage & Antiques and other Kilkenny attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.
Proprietor Robin Maharaj provides a happy hunting ground for builders and contractors, as well as many private individuals looking to add that authentic touch to restored properties and developments.
A strong working relationship exists between the company and Dúchas, (the Irish National Trust), which regularly uses the yard as a source for antiques and materials.
Whatever your requirements, Robin is confident he can supply the right piece for the project. Most items in stock have been collected from the Republic of Ireland, some are from England with the odd item from Europe.
In addition to the salvaged pieces, there's always a wide selection of interesting antiques on display.

The guys in Kilkenny Architectural Salvage are incredibly welcoming and helpful. We have purchased 2 mantels made from reclaimed oak beams which have the most beautiful characteristics. They must still be put into place but once we oiled and varnished them the colour came up really well on them. We can't wait to see them in they're final resting positions. We also recently purchased a sign from them and they were quick and attentive to our needs. Kilkenny Architectural Salvage stock a whole range of items from quirky signs to antique furniture to garden ornaments and much more. Upon arrival to the yard you get a real sense of community and comradeship between the family that owns the place. A really nice place to visit!
Conor and everyone at Kilkenny architectural salvage are so amazing at what they do. They will help you in any way they can. Conor spent so much time with me helping me decide on the right floor for our house. I completely trust them. He didn’t guide me to the most expensive as some places would do, but to the right floor for what I needed. I’ve also picked up some lovely other bits in there, it’s so lovely for a walk around. This really is well worth a trip, a lovely local family business that I’m proud to support!
We found Kilkenny architectural salvage online while looking for a cast iron bath, their website is great and very easy to navigate. We sent an inquiry and they got back to us very quickly, Harry was incredibly helpful and we ended up ordering a very reasonably priced bath & a cast iron letter box. Would love to pay them a visit as there are so many great items to look at for home & garden. Would highly recommend. Well worth checking out their website.
I went online to order a set of veg signs for garden the but had issues processing the payment. Conor contacted me the next day and was able to take payment over the phone. My package arrived 2 days later. My father in law was delighted with them. Thanks so much for the great service and product will definitely be back again.
So happy with my purchase, so easy to complete with a great variety of products. Exceptional value for money. Customer care top class.
