  • Went with three kids to Glenroe farm. The kids spent most of the time feeding the animals and playing on the various cloning frames and slides. Thought the place looked a bit tired and needed a bit of...  more »

  • want there last year when I want to Wicklow visted powerscourt gardens and waterfall brilliant time went to glenroe farm taught I be missing something if I didn't go but when I did found it expensive and boring won't be visting it again in a hurry 👍👍👍
  • I visited the farm with my Grandson recently. I hadn't been there for many years. Not much had changed except this time having worked around animals I was more conscious of the animal welfare on the farm. The website does not mention anything about how the animals are cared for. Two animals, the Turkey and a sheep had serious injuries but were still on view to the public. The fenced in area of the horse was covered in manure so this had not been cleaned in a while! It was a hot day but there was no shelter for a lot of the animals. There are two new playgrounds which looked well maintained. We brought the Turkey's pecking at the blood on it's foot to the attention of one staff member. He fumbled with trying to catch the Turkey without success, so just put it back down again. This same staff member we'd seen earlier in Pet's Corner handling a young rabbit which a child had said bit them but after turning it around and upside down told the child it was fine and handed it back!! What a pity, I would not recommend to any animal lovers to visit this farm and if you're someone not aware of animal welfare but love animals you should also boycott this farm until they convince us that they are looking after their animal welfare.
  • I visited glenroe recently with my son and had a lovely day out . The playgrounds were fantastic , the staff in the pets corner were really helpful . The animals were very healthy , well fed and cared for . I would highly recommend a visit to glenroe farm for a family fun day out .
  • Highly recommended if you have small kids. It's not so large that it's an effort to walk around but it has lots to entertain little ones. They also have rabbits that can be taken out for petting.
  • A pleasant little farm for a family day out. From the petting Zoo to the playground, young kids will love it. The cafe is decent too but I prefer to pack a lunch and buy a coffee.
