  • Four of us took the little ferry to Ireland's Eye just for the boat trip. We had arrived at Dublin Airport in the wee hours, and had some time to kill before checking into our hotel. Cruising through ...  more »
  • You have quite a lot to see: next to the train station: - the port, with its lighthouse and a small island having in front - the market of craft products Cape, or Baily Lighthouse or Summit the Castle Tower and the village, is generally pleasant to stroll through it as it is a fishing village you can eat well and is not expensive.

  • Beautiful island where you are can sail with a fishing boat. In the summer you can with a kayak there and the island tour. You may be in the tower but then you via a rope to climb inside.

  • The boat was supposed to stop at the bird colony. It didn't which Was disappointing. Also the ferry does not land on the island if the tide is too low. Island is great needs a proper guide not sure the skipper we had was verbal at all. Disappointing.
  • So it's 10€ to boat around the island and 15€ to land on it. But that's about it - this is literally just a boat ride around the island. That's great, and you do get some nice pictures, but there's no tour guide giving you a history of the Eye or anything - you basically spend 45 minutes on a small boat with some picture opportunities. For that price, I was honestly expecting a bit more.
  • If you're looking for a great trip around one of the most amazing landmarks in Ireland, look no further than Ireland's Eye Ferries. Their prices are really fair at €10 for a trip around the island and just an extra €5 to explore it yourself, and they are without a doubt the best and friendliest service for getting to Ireland's Eye. I noticed that some of the other services don't even give you the option to land on the island! Anyway, I was very glad that I found this ferry service and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for something to do around Howth!
  • Look no timetables or signs indicating departure. After the 11:00 am get down the West Pier with 10 € to pay the noisy and unstable boat that will go around the island. Not to be missed. Bring your binoculars.
