  • Wells house has lots to do and see. With a lovely forest walk and activities for the whole family to enjoy.  more »
  • I feel a bit sad writing this review but Wells House is slipping and prices for the food for let's face it a coffee shop is exorbitant. We went to the Teddy Bear picnic over the bank holiday weekend. ...  more »
  • Its a bit pricey initially when you go in the gate and have to pay €8 per car just for a parking spot. That aside it has a fantastic playground for the little ones, a Gruffalo fairy trail, which is we...  more »

  • You can see the place is developing itself and its great to see the range of activities available. Large open air playground available and sandpit for children to play. Unfortunately I would say the toilets facilities need to be better sign posted. That and a little more regular tidying of the toilet shed near the play area would be good. Apart from that there's a falconry, archery with dedicated instructors and a little petting zoo. It would do to have more staff to tell you about the falcons/animals and around the grounds. The restaurant is absolutely fab. The food is really good and you definitely get what you pay for on a plate. I would definitely come back for their themed weekends. High tea on a Sunday sounds fabulous in Ms Stones cafe (in full period costume).
  • My whole family loves Wells. We travel down from Dublin regularly. They have an amazing fairy walk that my nephew loves with statues and fairy doors along the way. They also have a great playground and some animals you can see. The cafe food is also nice. Defiantly recommend for a great day out.
  • Fantastic old house and gardens. Fairy forest great. We bought tickets for the house tour but couldn't use them as missed the last one due to enjoying the garden walks so much!
  • Beautiful and interesting place for the family Old style large house with surrounding gardens and a forest walk but there's more to it than that. There's a playground, a cafe, a picnic area (with a peacock for company). It has a beautiful nature walk but hidden in various spots are fairy houses, various wood carvings of animals and kids story characters to keep the young ones entertained and interested.
  • Beautiful walks, great for children with a big playground and lots to discover. A little zoo area and many picnic tables make for a great day.
