The Blue Loo Pub reviews
Little puzzled to pay €3 more for a pint and g+t compared to last night.. on a trip and yes different town but that’s a bit steep- and yes identical brands ?? Perhaps foreign accent is tempting- no... more »
After a long walk around Nature Park this was the 1st place I came to and was in need of a coffee. If had more time would like to comeback in evening as it was very quirky as the name implies. Good..... more »
We had quick visit here recently. The barman was very friendly and good in helping us choose a local gin which turned out to be very good! Clientele very varied and a bit eccentric with several dogs.... more »
Lovely, traditional, family run pub. Fantastic welcome, relaxed atmosphere. Back nook with gorgeous crafted wood seating. Outdoor seating. Excellent pints & a proper cup of tea. Relax with friends, or chat with locals at the bar, lovely!
A very relaxed atmosphere and great to chatter with locals and tourists, good place to enjoy a drink. Old world charm and cosy. Good music and banter. Chris makes you feel very welcome and has a great memory, he remembered us from months ago and our order from then too.
It was okay. We were the only patrons in the place for a time and the barmaid was absent more than she was there. However she did suggest some west cork whiskey. We then went across the street to Lough Avoul where we had a delicious lunch and where I had the Fia that was mistakenly tagged to Blue Loo.
Great local pub, good atmosphere, great live music when I was there. 2 lads on guitars,i had a great night there.
Cozy pub with nice areas to sit and friendly staff. It seemed to be the pub the locals usually goes to and therefore it got pretty crowded later that evening. Would recommend going there at 22 if you would like a place to sit. Also very friendly staff as I mentioned earlier.
