  • When you're leaving the cathedral you might as well keep exploring that end and head on over to NUIG. The campus is gorgeous. I love wandering around university grounds and this place is great. You'll feel like you're in Harry Potter for a bit!
  • Great campus locate beside the River Corrib. Lots of place to eat and easy to get around on foot or by bicycle. They have spent a lot of time and effort renovating the campus over the last 15 years
  • The national university of Galway or NUIG as I like to call it is a very nice college, I didn't actually study here but I've walked through and it really seems lovely... Ample amount of bike racks
  • One of the most relaxing and beautiful campus I have ever visited.
  • Great university. Still studying and enjoying the experience. I would definitely recommend any adults thinking of going back to education to give this uni a good looking at as it is one of th e best.

Where to stay in Galway

Stay at the center of Ireland's "Most Irish City," Galway City, by booking a hotel or hostel near Eyre Square, from which all city sights are walkable. If you prefer accommodation with more character, stay at a charming guesthouse or bed and breakfast just outside of the center, or look for lodging in the city's Latin Quarter, a bohemian neighborhood lined with cafes, galleries, and pubs. If you want to explore Galway County, book accommodations in the city, since it's a tourism and transportation hub on the West Coast. If you prefer the quiet countryside, seek out small, family-owned guesthouses on the Aran Islands or a cottage on the Connemara Peninsula.
