  • Not what I would call a castle and now housing a bank, so not open for tours. Interesting building and worthy of a photo, but don't go out of your way. The busker standing outside was of greater inter...  read more »
  • This was nice to look at and kind of ironic that it's now a bank. Great architecture! It's a medieval gem in the middle of a shopping and pub mecca.
  • Etymology of Lynch (were) became the local elite Lynch clan resided. Becoming a bank right now. In the 15th century had served as a Justice of the peace James Fitz Stephen Lynch Lynch's father was in a position that he would judge would kill the man, his son said his son ruled the death penalty... and rap says there is. Not saying Castle or larger. Coat of arms of the Lynch House carved gargoyles and decorative reliefs, wall is interesting.

  • It is now an AIB Bank. You can see the building exterior anytime and some of the interior when the bank is open. Not bad, but not really distinctive enough to go out of your way. If you're exploring the city center you'll likely run across it.
  • Nice building to walk past but almost every aib has that clean stone look anyway.
  • Interesting site to visit while in galway
  • Worth a look, nothing special.
