  • Very interesting tour of Fota House, which was a total surprise. The main house, servant's quarters and kitchen were impressive and the history fascinating and well presented. Had a stroll through gardens and arboretum after, but ran out of time so have to go back another time. Well worth a visit!
  • Really relaxing place. Beautiful setting, amazing nature in every season. Cannot recommend enough for when you need to switch off a bit from the city life. Easily accessible with train with a short walk from the train station. Nice Café as well for coffee and some food.
  • Great day out for all the family. Plenty of running around safely for the children and exploring. The gardens are beautiful and mature. If it's a sunny day, don't forget the picnic and a blanket.
  • Update: The toilet facilities between the car park and the house were in such shocking condition upon my visit that they were not suitable for use. They were incredibly unsanitary and there was dirt everywhere. There was no toilet paper to use and the lock did not work. The toilets in the house also were very dirty and not up to standard as there was no handwash. Very little toilet facilities
  • Lovely walk around the Victorian Gardens and grounds. Welcoming cup of tea and scone after from their cafe.
