  • We went to go and see the Light House and a small something to eat and drink at the little restaurant. There were activities for the kids outside where a man dressed as a pirate got the kids to do tug o war games etc. We also took a walk down to the water. It was great and could have spent hours there with the kids playing in the rock pools. The little restaurant was very busy and took a while to get food sorted,. We only ordered snacks like a sandwich and was okay. Beer was good.
  • Well worth a visit to Hook Lighthouse at €9 per person! The guide was brilliant, she was funny and very knowledgeable about Hook Lighthouse and surrounding area. She answered all the questions that were asked of her. The gift shop is small but has all that you need. The cafe was lovely, food freshly served and staff friendly. Highly recommend 🙂
  • It is a very interesting building located on the hook peninsula. The area is rich in history. There are guided tours through the lighthouse every 30 mins. I recommend coming as early as possible so that it isn't too busy. There is a small gift shop and a coffee shop beside the lighthouse. Would recommend for anyone who is visiting South East Ireland.
  • Hook lighthouse is wonderful! This tourist attraction is by guided tour only but truly worth it. Our guide was very informative and friendly. There is 113 steps to viewing point at top. Along the way up there is rooms which the guide and some visual digital images explain the history of Hook Lighthouse, and the people who lived and worked there. Plenty of resting places of nooks and crannies!. The view from the top is amazing (I lucky to be there on a sunny day). Highly recommended.
  • Great tour experience about the oldest lighthouse in the world. The views are spectacular around the light house and the pub/cafe beside it serves great food. Caters for vegan/vegetarian also and seafood lovers. There is something for the little children to do also..a pirate entertaining kids, a little play area and some kiddie rides.
