  • I wanted it to be better, but the selection was just okay. Lots of standard best-seller stock. Nice store and staff. Very good children's section.  more »
  • I have bought a book in this store. I had heard about this store, so I had to go there. I have viewed the offer at ease and have a fun book to. The most fun I found the Bookshelf with the tips of the employees (handwritten cards with a short summary and individual rating). I was also very curious to the store because it was known as the most friendly. I fear that the owner or the specific books seller was not present. Behind the cash register was previously a grumpy Lady. I found a great pity. I will have to return again. :)

  • This is the only book shop in Dublin I ever go to. The atmosphere is so serene and you can tell that the owners LOVE their business. Also, you get a loyalty card so thats great savings. A must for book lovers.
  • This is a book shop run by book lovers .great staff and a great place to pick up a signed 1st edition as a present or for your self.
  • Good selection of books, staff are not so polite.
  • For a small space, which adds to the intimacy of the experience, they have a good variety of books and each section has a good selection of titles. Lots of books but an easy place to browse in. The big picture windows make it feel bright and airy. The bookshop doesn't just sell books, it supports readers through it's quirky little index-card reviews, and it supports authors by hosting readings and launches. The owner's love of his shop and of books is infectious.
  • Good collection, service is very bad. Staff keeps chatting while 'helping' you. When I asked for a gift wrap I was told to buy an entire roll of wrapping paper.

Where to stay in Dublin

Dublin offers everything from luxury hotels to eclectic guesthouses. Explore over 1,000 years of history in the city on foot by staying at one of the hotels or hostels in the city center. The south side of the river has always been a popular place to stay, particularly near Temple University or the tourist nightlife center Temple Bar, but a new crop of attractive options has popped up on the north side as well. For more affordable accommodations, try a hostel or make your way toward St. Stephen's Green for a more comfortable stay at a mid-range hotel. If the artistic spirit of Dublin is what beckoned you, spend your holiday in a guesthouse near the creative Lower Gardiner Street.
