  • It is not a park meant as in Italy. and the garden where you will find the Cathedral. Well kept and nice green ... like all Irish gardens and parks!

  • Absolutely gorgeous park outside of Saint Patrick’s Church. I’m not sure if this is an everyday thing, but the bells played for quite a while before noon on Sunday. It was really nice to stroll around...  more »

  • Bram Stokes prodution for Halloween excellent. Other activities too few. Much more could be done for kids. Lovely well kept park.
  • Great location, a nice place to relax, bringing kids for playing or having a picnic. The park is usually very busy during the day. Some famous Dubliners, such as Jonathan Swift, are memorialized inside. Very well-cared as usual in Ireland!
  • Always go to this park with my son. It is well kept and beautiful anytime of year. The only problem is dog owners that let dogs to run freely without a leash despite the bylaws, taker does not tell them anything.
  • A lovely little park in the city centre. Beautiful view of Patrick's Cathedral. Nice playground for kids.
  • Towering cathedral with stunning buttresses. I felt miniscule standing beneath the immense structure. I walked around the park stunned at the human - man made ratio. There are also plaques recognising Dublin's writers including Stoker and Wilde. Considering the artistic/ literary presence in the park and the Georigian/ Modern surround, this area promotes contemplation in Gothic and Romantic pursuits.

Where to stay in Dublin

Dublin offers everything from luxury hotels to eclectic guesthouses. Explore over 1,000 years of history in the city on foot by staying at one of the hotels or hostels in the city center. The south side of the river has always been a popular place to stay, particularly near Temple University or the tourist nightlife center Temple Bar, but a new crop of attractive options has popped up on the north side as well. For more affordable accommodations, try a hostel or make your way toward St. Stephen's Green for a more comfortable stay at a mid-range hotel. If the artistic spirit of Dublin is what beckoned you, spend your holiday in a guesthouse near the creative Lower Gardiner Street.
