Where to stay in Dublin

Dublin offers everything from luxury hotels to eclectic guesthouses. Explore over 1,000 years of history in the city on foot by staying at one of the hotels or hostels in the city center. The south side of the river has always been a popular place to stay, particularly near Temple University or the tourist nightlife center Temple Bar, but a new crop of attractive options has popped up on the north side as well. For more affordable accommodations, try a hostel or make your way toward St. Stephen's Green for a more comfortable stay at a mid-range hotel. If the artistic spirit of Dublin is what beckoned you, spend your holiday in a guesthouse near the creative Lower Gardiner Street.

  • You may first think that it's just an old castle, but it's more than that: be ready to find something totally unexpected but stunning inside ;)  more »
  • The townhouse cafe seems to have a Spanish vibe compared to the french le petit Parisian. The extended family are currently picky about location so I can't recommend the french one highly enough, good...  more »
  • A wonderfully re-purposed building filled with charming, mostly upscale, shops with a light filled dining space in the centre. While we weren't able to sample the restaurant(s); we did make purchases ...  more »

  • I love this shopping mall as it is in a covered courtyard. This means you feel you're outdoor while actually being indoor (there is a glass roof). This is really nice in Dublin as it's too cold/windy to be outside and because you find a few coffee shops and cafes in Powerscourt. My favorite is The Pepper Pot. Furthermore, cafes aside, there are lovely shop: great hand made jewelry, ties and hats, design, flowers and much more. Have a nice walk inside the shopping mall and you'll love it. Free toilets on the top floor!
  • Always a delight to visit. Can be little expensive for certain dress items. Check out the jewellery shops - beautiful range of antique and modern pieces. For doll collectors visit doll's shop top floor. Food outlets available.
  • Lovely looking shopping center, kind of reminds me of Covent Garden. Great place for engagement ring shopping and bridal. I have not been to any restaurants or clothing shops as they don't suit my style. But just a ramble around to soak up the atmosphere is a must when in Dublin.
  • OK, the history behind the building is amazing! Fun shopping, great reataurants; all offering a great break from the madness of the Temple Bar.
  • Interesting shopping mall in part inside a large Georgian townhouse. Courtyard has been roofed over with glass to create a coveted area
