The tour ran for about an hour and included a whiskey tasting at the end. The regular tasting includes three shots of whiskey. Not knowing much about the history behind Irish whiskey, I found the tour...  more »

Even if you are not a regular drinker of Irish whiskey (or even whisky), this place- just opposite the entrance to Trinity College - is well worth spending 45 minutes touring. The staff are universall...  more »

I brought my parents here when they were visiting. It was a lovely experience. If you get the VIP ticket you get to try 4 instead of the whiskeys at the end of the tour. The extra whiskey I think it's a 12 year old one. You also get a pretty neat little whiskey glass which makes for a good souvenir. The museum did a nice job of yelling the history of whiskey and the guide is must entertaining.

One of my favorite experiences in Dublin. While the audience will definitely be full of tourists, the tour isn't cheesy or irrelevant. The guides do a stellar job of engaging each and every one of you so you'll have a great time. Plus, getting to taste four whiskeys at the end is the perfect way to wrap up a fun tour.

Great knowledge... Tasty whiskey. Don't go on a warm day though as they have no airflow in the rooms and they pack as many people into each tour as humanly possible, so each stop on the tour becomes a sauna... an educational sauna, but a sauna nonetheless. It is not their fault since they are in a historic building but it is a definite need to know thing.

A really informative tour about the history of Whiskey in Ireland, it was quick enough to stop it getting dull (we'd had an early flight so were flagging). The guide (whose name I can't recall) was fun and friendly and threw in some funny anecdotes and it was good to try the different whiskeys at the end. Worth a Visit

Never left a review before, but I just had to recommend this museum! Such a fun and interesting experience, great tour guide and fantastic value for money. We went to the guiness factory earlier in the day but I would 100% say the whiskey museum was a better experience.

Where to stay in Dublin

Dublin offers everything from luxury hotels to eclectic guesthouses. Explore over 1,000 years of history in the city on foot by staying at one of the hotels or hostels in the city center. The south side of the river has always been a popular place to stay, particularly near Temple University or the tourist nightlife center Temple Bar, but a new crop of attractive options has popped up on the north side as well. For more affordable accommodations, try a hostel or make your way toward St. Stephen's Green for a more comfortable stay at a mid-range hotel. If the artistic spirit of Dublin is what beckoned you, spend your holiday in a guesthouse near the creative Lower Gardiner Street.
